I know I promised to tell you about the rest of my summer but I thought that I would tell you about the best part of the summer. For my senior trip I went to Washington D.C. with my parents and we had SO much fun! There are so many fun things to see and do there like museums and shopping and all of that fun stuff. :) We left Utah on August 12th and we got back on the 18th. We went to so many places. We went to a lot of cool museumss like the Natural History Museum, the American History Museum and some others. But one of my favorite parts of the trip was when we went to the National Air and Space Museum and saw this:
That is the Enterprise from Star Trek The Original Series. I know I'm a nerd but it was pretty cool . Haha. It really wasn't my favorite part but it was one of my favorites.
Another fun part of the trip was when we were going to dinner and there was a fire outside one of the buildings and you could see the fire coming out of the grates on the sidewalk. It was cool. Then we get to the resturaunt which was like two blocks away from the fire and we are there for about 20 minutes. We had just finished the crab cake appetizer and the power goes out because of the fire. I guess a transformer blew and thats what started the fire but it caused power to go out in like a 3 block radius. It was cool though.
One of the very best parts of the trip was when we went exploring in Georgetown. It was so cool to see all of the old buildings and streets there. It was goregous!! Plus that is where all the shopping was! :) It was a lot of fun. That is where I got my super cute grown up dress and hat :) It was so cool to see how different things are there than they are here back in Utah. Everyone there is so busy and always running around in a hurry to be somewhere. But here in utah it is so peaceful and nice and calm. It is intereesting. One thing I noticed though was that everyone there drives these small cars. It seems like everyone has a Mini Cooper!! Which I thought was cool because they are my favorite cars :)
It was such an amazing trip. I loved everything about it. I would definitly do it again. It was such a great way to end the summer. I loved being able to spend some alone time with my parents before I went away to college. They are amazing parents and I'm so grateful for them. :)
I dont have all of my pictures of Washington yet but Iwill post them when I do. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything you have given me over the years. I am so grateful for all of the love and support. I love you so much and I am excited to see you soon!!
